UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN 1977 PROCLAIMS MARCH 8 UNITED NATIONS DAY FOR WOMEN RIGHTS AND WORLD PEACE. UNITED STATES PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA IN 2011 COMMEMORATING 100 ANNIVERSARY OF WOMEN DAY, PROCLAIMED MARCH LIKE WOMEN HISTORY MONTH.
